Here’s a cocktail recipe to try this weekend
Happy Thursday! Going into the weekend I’m sharing a special cocktail recipe with you, it’s a sweet and spicy (also non-dairy) twist on the classic White Russian cocktail. This is a delicious cocktail to try this weekend either with friends, for a date night or let me be honest with you, for myself after a long week at work!
I’ve always been a fan of the classic White Russian with cream, but as of about three months ago I’ve cut out all dairy from my diet. So this recipe is a perfect alternative, with a little unexpected twist. Chai! I chose to add Chai to this drink for its sweet and spicy flavor, I personally love everything spicy. All together I think these ingredients really make for an all-around fabulous, boozy, alternative cocktail to the original.
Chai White Russian with a Twist (non-dairy)
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Kahlúa®
- Absolut Vodka
- Almond milk (I like Almond Breeze)
- Oregon Chai The Original (Sugar free)
- Cinnamon sticks
- Spoon for mixing
- Ice cubes (enough to fill about half a glass)
- Old-fashioned glass
- Shot glass
Directions
Fill your glass half full of ice cubes
Pour over the ice 2 parts Kahlúa®
Then pour in 2 parts of Absolut Vodka
Next up pour in 4 parts Chai
Finish with 3-4 parts Almond milk
Stir with spoon and top off with 2 cinnamon sticks
Cheers, enjoy!
I’d love to hear what you think of this recipe! I spent time figuring out how I could put a personal twist on a variety of options and this by far was the winner! Also, this post is the first of three I’ll be publishing over the next few months, I’ve teamed up with Kahlua® to share some of my favorite drink recipes with a personalized twist. You can order some of the ingredients for this cocktail on my personalized cocktail page on Drizly and to make the deal even sweeter, Drizly is offering my followers free delivery with the code KahluaSEA.

This legit looks delicious, and I don’t usually go for Kahlua drinks.
We should try it sometime! It’s delicious. 🙂
