Last weekend I went on a road trip with Lexus.

Skipping town and getting out of Seattle is something I enjoy doing every so often. While I love living in the middle of the city, escaping to somewhere less chaotic is wonderful. For this escape I headed north to Bellingham, WA with the Lexus NX 200t F Sport that Lexus loaned me (you might remember that I took a road trip down to Portland with Lexus back in March). Located about 90 miles north of Seattle, Bellingham is an easy place to get to for a weekend or even one night away (I just went for one night). Bellingham is a quaint town right on the water with lots of delicious restaurants, breakfast places, parks and shops. The Lexus NX was the perfect ride for a comfortable and smooth trip north.

Since it’s fall and nearing Halloween, it was on my list to visit a pumpkin patch. What kind of blogger would I be if I didn’t get my picture taken with a pumpkin? (insert sarcasm)

For my stay in Bellingham I booked a room at the Hotel Bellwether, this was the view from the patio off my room. Waking up to this view was very relaxing. Upon arriving at the hotel I was welcomed with champagne and my room was very cozy with a fireplace and large king size bed. The hotel even provided turn down service and left freshly baked peanut butter cookies in my room! Parking and wifi were free which was also a nice little perk.

Now some pictures from BelleWood Acres pumpkin patch! BelleWood Acres is a few miles north of Bellingham and offers all the fall things you’d want to do at a pumpkin patch. From u-pick pumpkins and apples to a corn maze, it’s the perfect place to visit. They also have an awesome gift shop where you can do apple tastings, buy pies, wine and all sorts of homemade jams.

For Saturday brunch in Bellingham, I headed to a part of town called Fairhaven. Located in Fairhaven is a cute little crepe shop called Magdalina’s.

There are two ways to get out of Bellingam when you’re headed south back to Seattle, one is to take I5 (the quicker more straightforward way) or you can take Chuckanut Drive. Chuckanut is a beautiful drive along the water with incredible scenic views. The road is a bit narrow with lots of turns and curves so I only recommend this route in the daylight.

The Lexus NX was awesome to drive and helped make my road trip comfortable and smooth. I loved that I could connect my phone to the car via Bluetooth so I could be safe and handsfree to talk on the phone and listen to my music. I listened to Selena Gomez’s new album on Spotify, I’m loving it! I could easily plug in all my destinations to the GPS and the car helped guide me to where I needed to go. Heated seats were also a favorite feature of mine, who doesn’t like sitting in a nice cozy warm seat on a chilly fall afternoon? Because this was an F Sport it definitely had some zip to it too! I was pleasantly impressed with the fuel efficiency of the Lexus NX especially since it’s an SUV, one tank of gas went a long way. I always walk away from driving a Lexus super impressed and a little bit in love.

It shouldn’t be a surprise that Starbucks is a necessary thing when going on a road trip. Here’s one of the views you can catch when driving along Chuckanut Drive.
