Every 38 minutes Make-A-Wish grants the wish of a child diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition in the United States and its territories.
Saturday night was an incredible night. For the second year in a row Hush Puppies Shoes generously sponsored a table at Make-A-Wish’s Wish Night Auction and Gala. I got to spend the evening amongst about a thousand people who all came together to celebrate and support the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Alaska & Washington. By the end of the night over 1.6 million dollars was raised, 1.6 million dollars that would go directly toward helping grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.
Aside from being an extra special evening, it’s a fun opportunity to get dressed up. This year I went to Rent the Runway for a dress, I bought a dress last year from Nordstrom which I love, but it’s so formal that it hasn’t made sense to wear again. I love Rent the Runway because I can wear a pretty designer dress for a fraction of the cost. The dress I wore was a brand called Cut 25 and it was $75 to rent for four days.
I loved how elegant this dress was, the one sleeve and higher slit added a cool twist. I paired the dress with some gold jewelry and my black Christian Louboutin Completa pumps.
For hair and makeup I turned to the experts, Clinique helped me achieve my desired beauty look and Sassoon Salon styled my fishtail braid.
Here are a few more photos I snapped with my phone during the evening.
My beautiful friends who joined in the evening, Alex, Nicole, Jaymee and Katie.
My boyfriend, Grant and I. This was my and Grant’s fourth Wish Night!
Our beautiful table sponsored by Hush Puppies Shoes.
There is always a cool ice bar at the event, this year’s was awesome, it had the theme, Happiness Found carved into the ice.
Finally my favorite part of the night, when a beautiful little girl named Violet captured our hearts with her charm and song.
