Happy Monday! First things first, I have to thank my sister, Katia for helping me take these pictures. She’s in the middle of studying for the NCLEX exam and lucky for me she was able to take a break and brave a muggy and cloudy Seattle evening to capture these pictures. Destroyed denim everything has been on repeat for me lately (maybe you remember this blog post), so have blazers and sneakers. I guess you could say I’m all about comfort when I walk and like to add some structure with wearing a blazer. These Nike FlyKnit sneakers are a new addition to my shoe family, they’re lightweight and extremely comfortable. They’re so lightweight in fact that it truly feels as though you’re walking around barefoot.
Something else I’ve started doing more lately is carrying around clutches instead of larger bags, after watching Michael Carl’s video where he pokes fun at women wearing big bags, I figured I’d give clutches during the daytime a try. I think I always used to carry around a big bag because I thought I needed lots of room to store things, when in reality I don’t. Now I just use my big bags for work where I do need to carry around my laptop, lunch, stuff like that. Anyway, it’s a funny video so definitely check it out.
Blazer: HM (similar and on sale) // Shorts: Forever21 // Shoes: Nike // T Shirt: Gap // Sunglasses: Ray Ban // Bracelet: Tiffany Atlas (c/o) // Clutch: Zara (c/o) // Lipstick: Dolce & Gabbana Soiree (c/o)
I’m kind of laughing at myself looking at these pictures of me messing with my hair, it was so muggy on this evening that I couldn’t help but continuously play with my hair in hopes that it didn’t look too terribly flat and frizzy.
