I turned a year older last Thursday and was overwhelmed by all the love, text messages, phone calls and cards I received. Every year as my birthday approaches I have to stop and scratch my head in a little bit of confusion on how it’s already time for my birthday again. I’m sure we’ve all been told once or twice by someone in our live’s that the older you get the faster time passes, I feel that.

My idea of the perfect birthday is to spend it with loved ones, eating cheesecake (because it’s my favorite), enjoying delicious food, and sipping on a cocktail or two. Here are a few photos from my weekend celebrating my birthday!

Birthday cheesecake at ART Restaurant in Seattle.

For the cheesecake part I went to one of my favorite places in Seattle, ART Restaurant at the Four Seasons Hotel Seattle.

Dinner at Terra Plata in Seattle.

For a dinner celebration with friends we headed over to a restaurant I’d never been to but heard a lot about called Terra Plata. Nothing I can say or write will accurately describe how incredibly amazing this restaurant was for dinner, if you go make sure you sit on their patio, I feel like I should write the owners of this establishment a thank you note for having this restaurant open to the public.

Yummy Sweetarts!

One of my birthday gifts, Sweetarts are my FAVORITE candy.

ERIN Erin Featherston dress via Rent the Runway.

I rented an ERIN Erin Featherston dress from Rent the Runway to wear out for dinner.

Guacamole fixings.

To close out the weekend I did a little grocery shopping at Pike Place Market and made myself some guacamole!

I’m grateful and excited for this new year of life and what it has in store for me!
