I recently spent a magical weekend at the Four Seasons Hotel in Seattle for a sweet staycation.

There’s definitely no place like home, but there’s also no place like a fluffy hotel bed where room service is but a phone call away. While I love lounging around in my PJ’s on my comfy couch (seriously it’s the world’s coziest couch) I delight in “getting away” and enjoying a fun staycation. Traveling out of town is great but not always a possibility for me. Staycationing (if that’s really even a word?) is something I’ve quickly become a fan of, it’s the perfect way to feel like you’re somewhere else without getting on a plane or spending hours and hours on the road. I stayed at the Four Seasons here in Seattle last year for a staycation in the summer, from that stay I was hooked! The staff at the hotel go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need for your visit, they know your name, and somehow manage to make you feel like you’re the most important person in the world.

The pool is exquisite, whether you’re there early in the morning to enjoy a cup of coffee and sit by the fire to watch the ferry boats or relaxing in the sunshine for the afternoon with a cocktail, being there never quite feels like real life. There’s a hot tub up there as well that is extremely relaxing to sit in, especially when you’re looking out taking in the picturesque view, the pool is truly a gem.

A picture from my Instagram, hanging out by the pool. The pool is heated so it’s pleasant to be in all the time.

Call me weird but something I love doing there is sitting on the floor looking out the floor to ceiling windows from my room. Aside from the views being stunning, being able to look out at the water and watch tourists hustle through the streets, there’s something really relaxing about sitting on the floor, drinking coffee and reading the New York Times. If you go and stay there, give it a try while wearing one of their extremely comfortable bathrobes.

A quick selfie with my camera in the bathroom, you can’t really see it but there are TV’s in the mirrors which I think is awesome. The bathtub might as well be a hot tub so keep that in mind. Also, kind of random but I’ve stayed in quite a few hotels now and have come to appreciate places that have a quality hair dryer, the Four Seasons makes no exception on those.

Another one of my favorite things to do is to sit out by the fire on the pool deck.

If you’re looking to celebrate something special or just treat yourself, the Four Seasons has everything you need to make you feel right at home and give you that very special one of a kind experience you’ll never forget, they truly define the standard for gracious and excellent service. I loved every bit of my stay and hope to be back again soon.
