I don’t just wear my athletic shoes to the gym and on runs anymore, sure I still wear them to work out, but I’ve found myself ditching my heels for sneakers on the regular. Mainly because I want to be comfortable. Casual-yet-creative footwear is a fashion trend I’m not mad about at all and sporty outfit staples continue to be front and center in a lot of magazines and blogs I follow. Integrating athletic footwear into your everyday outfits is a lot easier than you might think. This is the part where I get to tell you about my new everyday kicks from Brooks.
A couple weeks ago I met with Brooks, the company behind awesome running gear for women and men. Did you know they’re based here in Seattle? This year marks 100 years of history in the making for Brooks, to mark this exciting milestone Brooks recently launched their Heritage Collection of sneakers for women and men. This is a cool collection of everyday sneakers designed to pay tribute to their original Vanguard sneaker from 1976.
These photos were taken on the pool deck at the Four Seasons Hotel, kicking back in my sneakers poolside and taking in the sunshine was nice and relaxing.
For these photos I paired my Vanguard sneakers with what’s been my go to uniform lately, leather leggings, a t shirt, chambray and colorful jewelry. I totally approve of how these sweet sneaks pull together my outfit. I also love the idea of pairing them with a girly dress and blazer for an unexpected yet polished daytime look, I’ll be working on that outfit soon!
On this sunny day in particular I ended up running around downtown Seattle quite a bit, I had a few errands that needed to be taken care of. In these shoes walking around the city was no problem.
You might also notice that I’m wearing my favorite BaubleBar + Nordstrom earrings! The pop of pink is my favorite.
The Brooks Vanguard Sneaker is all about keeping it classic. And comfy, of course. When you can simultaneously be in a state of comfort and style that’s a win/win in my book!
