First off Happy New Year- yay for 2014! I rang in the new year surrounded by loved ones, laughing and watching the Space Needle light up in pretty fireworks. On the first I spent the day shopping at Nordstrom with my sister where I picked up a new leather jacket (yay!) and I got back on the treadmill to get myself in shape!

When I think about how 2013 went, I imagine someone like Hugh Grant narrating my year in review, something like, “It was a year filled with change and excitement for Mollie, a year filled with joy, a year filled with sorrow and a year where she bought more pairs of shoes than any other year…”. Pretending that someone like Hugh Grant would narrate the story of my year just makes it sound all the more charming. In all seriousness though, this was a terrific year. More than anything I’m just grateful to get to be around for another year. I learned a lot about myself, about my family, about my friends and feel humbled more than ever that the older I get the less I seem to know. I covered a lot of ground this last year as far as travel goes, I kicked off the year in the Bahamas, got to be in LA for the Golden Globes, attended another Lucky FABB, traveled down to Portland, San Francisco, went back to New York for Fashion Week and shopped at the Mall of America in Minnesota two times!

I love the idea of making New Year’s resolutions, however I don’t think I’ll make any this year because I feel like everyday is the chance to try something new or make a change. I don’t need the start of a new year to get me to do things differently. I do have plans for this new year though, goals I guess you could call them. I hope to make it back to Spain, run a couple more half marathons, buy a new purse and continue to practice good skincare. I’m sure other things will come up in time but for now that’s what I’ve got. My blog will be four years old at the end of this month, another crazy thought, whoa!

In any case, I’m thrilled for another new year and I hope 2014 is wonderful for all of you!

Have an amazing year!
