I spent the weekend in the lovely city of San Francisco. It’s one of my favorite west coast cities for a few reasons, I have great friends who live there, AND the food and shopping aren’t half bad (when Nordstrom, Barneys, Zara and Neiman Marcus are all within a quick walk from each other you better believe it’s a very happy place). The main reason behind this particular trip was to attend a fun conference called WordCamp. Aside from getting my learn on there I had the chance to catch up with some fashion bloggers, see an old friend, get lost in San Francisco, go to an art museum and eat mind blowing food.
A few travel necessities, Starbucks coffee, a shellac mani and Tory Burch Reva flats
Some of my fashion musts for this trip included my Michael Kors leather jacket (it actually felt like fall to me there), my Tory Burch gold Reva flats, black skinny jeans and sunglasses.
Dinner on the Embarcadero at Waterbar with Maria (Kitties + Couture) and Amanda (Fashionableeme) who both also work for Poshmark. I was blown away by how beautiful this restaurant was, the food was wonderful and we got to enjoy our meal with a view of the twinkling lights on the Bay Bridge.
Catching up with an old friend, Eric at Michael Mina
Dinner at Michael Mina- this was my first time there. If you like spicy things try their habanero high five cocktail next time you’re in and say hi to Eric. He’s the dapper looking guy who’s always wearing the best suits and socks.
There’s nothing quite like a Saturday where you get to spend it doing whatever you want. On this day I decided to get lost in the city by myself. I spent a few hours at the deYoung Museum where I got lost in the impressionist art and then wandered down to Union Square for some walking and shopping (I also count this as exercise).
A fun surprise on this trip was that my friend Marrin from Marrin Costello Designs was also in the bay area that weekend. I visited with her and shopping some of her new jewelry at the Alameda Street Fair on Sunday.
Big shout-out to Uber San Francisco for being awesome and helping me get around everywhere I needed to. San Francisco was wonderful and I hope to be back again soon!
