Seattle blogger and friend Alyson from Crushing on Clothes and I got together to take blog pictures with each other in some of our favorite summer accessories accessories. I’ve been really into mixing metals lately, both gold and silver. I also found this at fortuitous timing because my friend Marrin Costello who’s a jewelry designer based out of Beverly Hills is currently being featured on Gilt City Seattle (trust me, you don’t want to miss out).

I met Marrin Costello on a Thursday evening in Beverly Hills, CA at the Sunset Marquis Hotel. She was elegantly dressed in black and wore the most exquisite jewelry. I quietly admired her necklace and bracelets until I couldn’t keep quiet any longer. I asked her where all the beautiful pieces were from, she politely replied that they were here designs. Marrin is an incredibly vibrant, creative and kind person, the second time I got to see Marrin was when she went out of her way to sit in traffic and pick me up at LAX in the middle of her moving into a new apartment. She handmakes all of her jewelry in LA and pays careful attention to every detail.

Marrin recently sent me some of her new pieces (yay)! They’re all my favorite but I’m really loving the Marissa gold necklace, and of course her iconcic Bowzer bracelets. Big thanks to Alyson from Crushing on Clothes for snapping the pictures of me outside, be sure to check out her blog post to see how she’s styling her summer jewelry too!

I’ve been into white lately, white pants, shirt, blazers etc, and felt that the gold and silver in Marrin’s pieces would work perfectly with the white I was wearing. I was able to pull this off at work and out for dinner in the evening.
