Checking into the Four Seasons Hotel here in Seattle last weekend was one of the best decisions I’ve made all year.

After a busy month of May, traveling to Minnesota, turning 25 and helping with the Seattle WordCamp Conference, I was good and ready to take 24 hours to relax. The night before I checked into the Four Seasons, I was so tired I barely knew my own name. Thankfully after checking out, I felt like a brand new human being, refreshed and rested. Doing something like this was an extra special treat, I had to laugh because upon checking in the staff asked me where I was traveling from, I shared that I was coming from just a few blocks away.

When I think about some of my life highlights so far, what comes top of mind are experiences. Having memorable experiences whether it’s by myself, with my family, someone special or with friends are truly the things I see as most valuable and long lasting. My experience at the Four Seasons was nothing short of magnificence, enjoying a cocktail on the pooldeck in the sunshine and reading, didn’t feel like real life. Ordering cheesecake to my room at 1am, perfect, watching TV and curling my hair from the TV that was in the mirror in my bathroom, amazing. I took advantage of the Spa there as well with an aromatherapy massage, a massage that I highly recommend getting if you’re looking to change your life for the better. I will say this was truly an experience I’ll never ever forget and one I plan to recreate soon.
