The Make-A-Wish Foundation is an organization that grants the wishes of children with life threatening medical conditions. It’s an organization that I’ve been a part of since I was 16 years old. From seeing my mom volunteer her time there when I was little to my own internship in their Seattle office, it’s a cause I’ve become very passionate about. At the beginning of this month Make-A-Wish of Alaska and Washington together with the generosity of the over 1,000 people in attendance at their annual Wish Night Gala raised over 1.2 million dollars. Pretty incredible right?
Aside from it being an inspiring night of wishes and helping make dreams come true, it’s always fun to get dressed up for an evening of this kind. The theme for the event was “Mission Incredible”, what comes to your mind when you hear that? For me it was a James Bond/Mission Impossible kind of feeling. I opted for a black floor length Calvin Klein dress, paired it with black heels, silver jewelry and bold smokey eyes.
This is an event I look forward to every year, it’s nothing short of inspiring, exciting and delicious. With all the great people together in one room motivated about the same goal, to see the generosity of all the donors and getting to see the awesome ice bar and signature cocktails they have every year, it’s one of the most incredible events that takes place in Seattle every year.

If you didn’t make it to Wish Night this year I highly recommend thinking about it for next year! There are a few other ways you can help support Make-A-Wish…
-You can donate money online, simple and easy
-Consider being a volunteer
–Donate something else other than money, like a colorbook, crayons, backpacks or toys, all of those things are important too
