Well it’s almost here again, Valentine’s Day. How are we feeling about that? Even though I’m sure some of you are thinking that people should express their love and feelings for those whom they care about every day, the fact of the matter is Valentine’s Day is still a day that exists on most people’s calendars so why not play along. Playing along doesn’t mean going out and spending boat loads of cash on expensive gifts or fancy night’s out (certainly there’s nothing wrong with that). It’s really a day where you can reach out to those closest and most important to you and tell them how much they mean to you. Whether that’s in the form of a card, flowers, necklace, dress, dinner, coffee whatever.

Emails have started coming in with questions about Valentine’s Day gift ideas and inspiration, so I thought I would share a few of my ideas. Feel free to keep those emails coming if you have more specific questions.

1. A CARD- I don’t think people realize how important and just how moving a simple card can be. Pick something that’s bright and colorful with some happy copy, sign it and you’re good to go. There are a lot of cute one’s on Etsy, this one is only $4.

2. Give the gift of coffee- Starbucks makes gift giving simple on their website, you can send e-gift cards from anywhere to anyone in the world.

3. A candle, these look great on coffee tables, bed side tables, bookshelves etc, and they smell good. If you want to impress her shower her with a candle from diptyque.

4. If you’re wanting to wow her and do something really special, might I recommend something sparkly from my favorite jeweler, Tiffany & Co. This Elsa Peretti® Diamonds by the Yard® pendant necklace is something she’ll have and treasure forever. To see all of Tiffany’s gift ideas head on over to their website here.

Most importantly on Valentine’s Day is just recognizing those most important to you. Give them a call, heck shoot them a text, just tell them they matter to you.
