My family has a longstanding tradition that every year in April we take off to the Washington coast for a weekend of memories, food, sunshine and fun. This tradition is almost twenty years old, so it’s safe to say that it’s a weekend we all look forward to each year. I thought I would share some pictures from this past weekend that were all taken by my dad, Daniel who’s an awesome photographer. He captured so many special moments! It’s a casual weekend, I mean we’re at the beach after all but I was sure to pack a good pair of sunglasses as well as my pink Hunter wellies. I should note that I do this every year, I always, always, always overpack. Does anyone else ever have that dilemma? Over thinking what you need and packing way more than you actually end up using? Maybe it’s just me…

Clearly my family loves Hunter boots. I’m on the far left in the light blue pants.

I recently had a nightmare that I dropped my iPhone in the ocean, since I was actually at the ocean I held my iPhone to my closely. Very closely.

Dexter the Boston Terrier is one of the newer members of our family, this was his first beach trip and from the looks of this photo he was lovin’ it.

I love everything about this picture, my sister’s friendly hello on the right in the purple jacket, my cousin Erin to the left walking the water and then my best friend, Jaymee and I showing our excitement for the sunshine and beach.

Finally, I’ll end this post with this picture. It’s of Jaymee and I sunning on a log doing what we do best. Tweeting/Instagramming/Facebooking playing with our iPhones. Even though the service was spotty we still managed to update our social media channels. We managed to do all of that and balance on this narrow log.
