The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Alaska and Washington celebrated an inspiring night of wishes and hope on Saturday March 10. The crowd of 1,000 generous people helped raise 1.1 million dollars that evening for children with life threatening medical conditions.
My purple dress was from Nordstrom by JS Boutique, I loved the draping in the dress as well as the way the straps fit on my shoulders. I paired the dress with a black clutch also from Nordstrom, nude pumps (that were actually really comfortable, I figured since the dress was to the floor I wanted to wear comfortable shoes!), my jewelry, a silver cuff and chandelier earrings were also all from Nordstrom. My hair was done by the lovely ladies at Swink Style Bar.
I love nothing more than when two of my favorite things combine in one evening, fashion and philanthropy. To dress up and have fun in fashion while helping make a difference in the lives of children and families. The Make-A-Wish Foundation is an organization I am passionate about, what non-profit organization do you hold near and dear to you?
Hair: I had my make up done with MAC Cosmetics, the lovely lady who helped me told me I should try a look a little more bold than usual- so we went with a dramatic winged eyeliner.
Nails: In getting ready for the evening I started with my nails, a pretty purple, “Charlotte” from Julep
