Simplicity and sophistication go hand in hand. These were the components of Built for Man’s Fall/Winter Presentation last week. Designer behind the brand, Francisco Hernandez shared that the man underneath his clothes is global, traveling the world sophisticated in style. What makes this brand unique is their attention to detail, their use of the most exquisite fibers and their socially conscious values. Built for Man provides looms to rural communities in Peru which enable these community members to improve their quality of life and help deliver elegant designs that are fashionable and wearable.

I don’t know that I personally have ever attended a fashion presentation for a men’s collection and left wanting every single thing each guy wore. Seriously, the new collection was full of fitted leather pants with intricate detail, warm sweaters and bow ties. It’s refreshing to see a collection of men’s wear that is completely wearable and practical for day to to day living while still being fresh, smart and sharp.

Black, leather pants, crisp white shirts, elegant scarves that make me think of the word majesty and warm sweaters

Pops of purple and details in a collar

Scarves, stripes, hats and ultra dashing jackets

This printed sweater was one of my favorites, I love the coat in the middle photo, and check out the detail in the pants on the right

After the show with @jaymeedoll. Yes, I’m wearing my red pants again, they’re my favorite, my big glasses and I snuck in my “I heart NYC” tank top because I’m missing NYC just a little bit

Built for Man’s Fall/Winter Presentation was beyond incredible. Now, I just need to convince Francisco to make a woman’s version of those leather pants…
