I got off the subway at 66th Street and Lincoln Center, as I walked closer and closer to the big shiny letters that read, Mercedes Benz Fashion Week I knew I was in for a very fashionable treat. Surrounded by beautiful people, both men and women alike, it was like an adrenaline rush of excitement walking up the steps and into the pulse of fashion. Women elegantly dressed, draped in fur, eyes covered in sunglasses and bright red lipstick, while men walked in equally as fashionable in their colorful jackets, bright pants and perfectly styled hair. It wasn’t anything out of the ordinary to walk passed fashion industry leaders like Ann Shoket of Seventeen Magazine, blogger extraordinaire Leandra Medine aka The Man Repeller, beauty and socialite Olivia Palermo, the ever so fashionable Miss J or stylist Robert Verdi.
Hustle and bustle inside Lincoln Center.
Bright pants anyone?
Between tweeting pictures of shows, models, clothes and pretty things I saw, updating my Facebook and responding to emails I was so grateful for this wonderful “charging station” as I liked to call it. You better believe I was equipped with a phone charger in my purse.
Shiny, sparkly, pretty things and oh yeah a Mercedes.
What’s a coat check if it isn’t brought to you by Barbie herself?
I’m not really sure as to who they were trying to channel, any guesses?
Filming.
I think this man stood outside of Lincoln Center purposefully this way because he wanted to have his picture taken, so I took it.
And then it’s me, I wore a fuchsia dress from Top Shop, black leggings from Nordstrom, black boots from REPORT Footwear, a leather jacket by Michael Kors and a black headband by L. Erickson (their double loop bow headband). Oh yeah and my lip stick is by MAC. More Fashion Week pictures to come!
