My immediate family, dad, brother, sister
From the day after Thanksgiving until New Years Day I allow myself peppermint hot chocolates and peppermint mochas from Starbucks. There’s something magical and holiday-esque about a drink with chocolate and peppermint. Christmas is my favorite holiday, the whole month of December I’m hanging lights around my house, decorating my Christmas tree, making gingerbread cookies and listening to holiday music. For me the holidays are all about tradition and family. Family traditions are special because there are things I know I can look forward to enjoying with my family every year. One of those traditions is my family’s annual trip down to Portland, OR to see The Nutcracker. We’ve been going for longer than I can remember, we see The Nutcracker and then enjoy a delicious holiday meal at The Heathman Hotel in Portland. Besides being together as family, we get to talk about our year, what we’ve done, what we are most excited about and all the things to come in the new year. It’s a special weekend to be surrounded by the ones I love. I’ll also quickly mention that it’s just as exciting to dress up in something festive. I wore a black velvet dress with a bright pair of high heels and some emerald earrings. I wanted to share some pictures from this year’s annual Nutcracker weekend.
Katia and I coordinated with each other to wear black dresses and fun jewelry. Katia wore a beautiful red jeweled necklace and I wore my emerald teardrop earrings.

It wouldn’t be the holidays without pretty decorations
Even my nails were festive! I wore my favorite bow ring too.
