When he’s not mentoring hopeful fashion designers on Project Runway, or fulfilling his duties as Liz Claibornes’ chief creative officer, Tim Gunn travels the globe to help promote fashion and style. Gunn came to Bellevue Square to host a runaway show with Lucky Brand Jeans, the show showcased spring fashion trends for both men and women. It wouldn’t be a Tim Gunn event without his quirky yet constructive commentary like his famous words “Make it work” and dapper ensemble of an outfit. Dressed in Lucky Brand Jeans, a simple sweater and what looked like my favorite, a Burberry shirt, Gunn helped attendees understand how they could spruce up their wardrobe and be spring/summer ready. Gunn spoke about proportion in your clothes and how to be aware of dressing for your body type, as well as feeling comfortable in the clothes you’re in.

Without a doubt this was one of my favorite looks, sophisticated yet comfortable. I love the denim tucked in (something Gunn advised people try doing more often), and the hat and sunglasses are perfect for summer.

For men I loved the rolled up jeans paired with a brightly colored pair of shoes, this is a great way to add that right amount of fun to your outfit. It’s a terrific way to stand out from all the rest in a fashionable way.

I attended the event with two of my girlfriends @jaymeedoll and @JessEstrada, we enjoyed watching the show and shopping the stores in Bellevue Square after.
